The Law Office of Scott A. Schwartz, APLC is committed to making socalworkcomp.com usable by everyone, including people who navigate with a screen reader or a keyboard, who enlarge the page, or who rely on captions. Many of the people we represent are living with injuries that change how they use a computer or a phone. Making this site work for them is part of doing the job properly.
The standard we work to
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We describe our current status as partial conformance: we have tested this site against that standard and corrected what we found, and we expect further testing to find more.
What we have done
Most recent review: September 4, 2026. In that review we:
- Added Spanish captions and full text transcripts to every video on our Spanish-language pages
- Corrected text and interface colors that fell below minimum contrast requirements
- Added a visible keyboard focus indicator across the site
- Made links inside body text identifiable without relying on color alone
- Corrected the page structure so screen reader users can navigate by landmark and by heading
- Corrected language markup on our Spanish contact form and on Spanish phrases within our English pages, so screen readers pronounce them correctly
- Enlarged small touch targets for people using phones
What we have not finished
We would rather be straightforward about the gaps than claim more than we have earned:
- Our video captions and transcripts began as an automated transcription and were corrected by hand. We are still reviewing them for accuracy, and we welcome corrections.
- We have not yet completed a review with a person who uses a screen reader daily. Automated testing catches only part of what matters.
- Documents linked from this site, including PDFs, may not all be accessible. If you need one in a different format, ask us and we will provide it.
- Parts of this site depend on third-party services we do not control, such as spam protection on our contact forms.
